January 9 – Skaneateles Recap

The varsity girls came out on fire last night, jumping to a 26-10 lead midway through the second quarter. However, Homer cooled off and committed a number of turnovers which assisted the Lady Lakers in their 57-50 comeback victory. Homer was led offensively by Dakota (13 points) and Brenna (12 points). The girls are now 3-5 on the season.

December 22 – REMINDER – Family Sign Up for Team Snack and Team Dinners

JV and Varsity parents….if you have not yet signed up for a game, please do so soon!

Throughout the season we feel it is important to make sure the girls are properly nourished and hydrated on game day. As such a program to meet this objective was created a few years back whereby the team parents assist with providing the following:

  1. On the day of away games we provide a healthy snack and drink to all players before departing on the team bus.
  2. On the day of home games we provide a healthy team meal and drink to all players after school and prior to playing that evening.

All parents whose child play’s either JV or Varsity basketball are asked to sign up with Mrs. Earle for either 1 AWAY game or 1 HOME game. If you don’t know who Mrs. Earle is, don’t worry, she will find you and sign you up! If we all work together this is something that is easy to accomplish and the players and coaches all appreciate it very much.
